MASM donates K 500000 to the Insurance Institute of Malawi

The Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM) donated MK500.000 to the Insurance Institute of Malawi (IIM) towards its annual lake conference in the lakeshore district of Mangochi

The Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM) donated MK500.000 to the Insurance Institute of Malawi (IIM) towards its annual lake conference in the lakeshore district of Mangochi. MASM Marketing Officer Kate Mataya said the donation is part of her firm's corporate social responsibility. She said the conference is important to institutions such as Masm as issues that will be tackled will benefit the insurance industry, including medical insurance.

Masm Medi Clinic Limited, a subsidiary of Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM) opened an inpatient clinic in Zomba. This is the fourth inpatient clinic by the company after those of Blantyre, Mzuzu and Lilongwe. MASM chief executive officer Sydney Chikoti said they built the clinic to ease pressure from their outdoor clinic.

Tooth extraction is one of the services offered at Zomba Medi Clinic

There are several treatments of tooth decay available to either stop the progress of the disease or/and restore the damage caused by dental caries. If tooth decay is diagnosed early, the required treatment can be a small and low cost dental filling. As tooth decay progresses the treatments needed become more complicated and expensive. Regular visits to a dentist every six months can help prevent tooth decay or at least reduce the cost of tooth decay treatment.

Zomba-based golfer Henry Chingana clinched the Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM) Ball Pool golf competition held at the Zomba Gymkhana golf course. Chingana set himself up for a big finish when he made incredible pars on holes 2, 3, 4 and 18 to card 19 points and handicap 20. He had bogeys in the other holes.
